Hi and welcome to the East of Scotland and Edinburgh OCD Support Group.
This group exists to provide a safe and friendly environment where people who are affected by OCD and related disorders (such as BDD, Trichotillomania, hoarding) can connect with others who are also affected for mutual support and understanding. OCD can be a very isolating and confusing illness and an aim of the group is to try and lessen this isolation. If you are affected by OCD and need help and support please consider getting in touch with the group – we are a friendly bunch 🙂
Face to Face Meetings
Face to face meetings take place on the first Friday of each month, details publicised here, on facebook and on the WhatsApp chat.
Online Meetings
In addition to the face to face meetings we also hold occasional online meetings. The access link to the meeting is posted on the facebook page and WhatsApp chat.
Facebook Group
The group has a facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/eastscotlandocdsupportgroup/ – if you are interested please go to the page and ask to join.
We have a WhatsApp group (this is often more active than the facebook page) – please drop me a line if you are interested in joining.
Social Meetups
We quite often meet socially for coffee and other activities such as boardgames, walks etc – these tend to get organised via Whatsapp.
Email contact
My name is John and I administer the group along with some of the other members. In my experience reaching out to a wider group has made a huge difference to my recovery from OCD and my life in general, so please do get in touch if you feel the group may be helpful to you. I can be contacted by email at john.main@gmail.com.
